Norfolk Power Inc. was formed in November 2000 by the amalgamation of four separate utilities:

• Simcoe Hydro
• Norfolk Hydro Electric
• Nanticoke (West) Hydro
• Delhi Hydro

Norfolk Power Inc. is the holding company for subsidiary Norfolk Power Distribution.

Norfolk Power Distribution Inc. distributes electricity to approximately 18,000 customers in both urban and rural areas within Norfolk County.
