New Customers


Norfolk Power Distribution Inc. requires all customers who are applying for hydro service to complete a Service Information Form (see below), prior to service connection.  This application forms a contract between Norfolk Power Distribution Inc. and the Customer for the supply of electrical energy.

Norfolk Power Distribution Inc. provides billing services on behalf of Norfolk County for water and wastewater usage.  If these services are not billed with the electrical service a Service Information form must be completed in order to establish an account.  This may occur as Norfolk Power does not service all areas of Norfolk County.  Please contact our office to confirm who the energy provider is for your location.

All requests for service will include the following:

  • the date of connection
  • tenant or owner's name(s)--who the bill is to go to
  • service address (where the service is to be supplied)
  • mailing address (if different from service address)
  • telephone number(s)
  • two pieces of identification (one should be photo ID)
  • employer information
  • contact person information
  • landlord information
  • signature of responsible party(s) for the account
  • signature of responsible party(s) for PIPEDA consent form
  • consumer security deposit or credit reference from a previous utiltiy 

Customers can provide this information by:

  • visiting our office during regular business hours
  • by printing and completing  the  Service Information Form and PIPEDA consent form and returning them to our Customer Service Department, preferably during regular business hours.
